We are very please to announce the first of 2 tours to Ireland in 2024 for our Celtic Way students.

Ireland Tour

​

Itinerary (March 28 - 7 April 2024)

​

Day 1

Arrive into Dublin airport.  Hotel accommodation tonight will be at Dublin airport to facilitate different arrival times. The airport hotels have a shuttle bus between the airport and the hotel.

​

Day 2

Depart for Killarney with stops at Powerscourt and Glendalough, in the world famous Vale of Avoca.  Hotel accommodation for the next two nights is the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney.

​

Day 3

Travel to Skellig Experience Centre with a boat to the island (Optional - Cost for this is £115 Per Person). For those not going on the boat trip, experience the beautiful Killarney Lakes.  Return to the hotel for dinner before visiting Killarney Racecourse for the Celtic Steps Show.

Day 4

Today, visit Gallarus Oratory with a lunch stop in Tralee.  Arrive at Tracy’s Oakwood Hotel for a 1 night stay. This evening, visit Bunratty Castle for a medieval banquet.

 

Day 5

This morning Doolan Ferries will transport you to Aran Island, followed by a horse and cart experience.  Return trip on the ferry and on to the Galway Hotel (Victoria Group), for two nights.

 

Day 6
Free time today in Galway for sightseeing and shopping.

 

Day 7
Depart Galway for Cong and Falcon flying at Ashford Castle. We then travel north east with an afternoon stop in Donegal town, which is in the county of the same name. Onwards to the Inishowen Peninsula and accommodation in the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa for 2 nights.

Day 8

We visit the Doagh Famine Village and also Ring Fort (Saint Patrick’s Well) – Grianan of Aileach. Then, return to the hotel for dinner.

​

Day 9

Depart from Donegal and make a coffee stop at Ireland’s highest pub, the Ponderosa, in the heart of the Sperrin mountains.  On to the North Down Museum (Bangor Abbey, The Valley of Angels) and then Saint Patrick’s Centre and St Patrick’s Church in Saul. Overnight in Trim Castle Hotel tonight.

Day 10
Depart for the Hill of Tara before going to visit the University of Dublin, and the 
Book of Kells. Overnight in the Gresham/Wynns City, both in the heart of Dublin city on O’Connell Street.

 

This evening, Farewell dinner at the Church Bar and Restaurant; as well as Irish Dancing and live music.

Day 11

Return to the airport for your flights home.

​

PRICE FOR THE TOUR

£3200 Per Person Sharing (Price is Pounds Sterling)

£450 Single Person Supplement for 10 Nights (Price is Pounds Sterling)

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TOUR

  • All coach travel for visits in the itinerary from day 1 until your return to the airport on day 11.

  • 10 nights bed, breakfast & dinner (tap water will be provided with dinner; all other drinks are at your own expense).

  • All entrance fees for all excisions as per the itinerary.

EXLUSIONS

  • Flights to and from Ireland.

  • Skelling Michael Boat Trip.

  • Gratuities (£25 Each for the Coach Driver).

Please Note:

 

  • There are only 41 Space's available for this tour and it is based on a first come first serve basis.

  • If the Skellig Michael boat trip does not happen due to weather you will be fully refunded for the cost of the trip.
